My Favorite Recipes - Dill Pickle Pizza

One of my family’s favorite pizzas is Dill Pickle.  I know it sounds strange. I was scared to try it my first time, but WOW, is it delicious?

Dill Pickle Pizza Recipe

Ingredients

  • frozen bread dough
  • cooking spray
  • alfredo sauce
  • dill seasoning
  • cheese (mozzarella and a pizza blend is best)
  • sliced dill pickles

Directions:

  • Make Crust
    • -In the morning, take the frozen bread dough and put it on a pizza pan to rise (depending on the temperature in your house and humidity, how long this will take, but Plan 8-10 hours.) Spray cooking spray on the pan first and then on top of the dough.  Cover with cling wrap.
    • Once the dough is risen, set the oven to 350 degrees.  While the oven heats, carefully use your fingers to spread the dough on your pan without making holes in it.  Try to make some crust.  When the oven has preheated, cook the crust for 5-7 minutes.
  • Toppings - Now, take your partially cooked crust and add your toppings.
    • Start with sauce- use about half a jar of sauce for one regular-size pizza.
    • Cheese (I use about two handfuls of mozzarella cheese and two handfuls of a pizza blend cheese mix).
    • Add sliced dill pickles over the cheese. (Before doing this, it’s helpful to take pickles from the jar and lay them on a plate covered in a paper towel to get the excess juice off).
    • Season with dill seasoning.
  • Cook in the oven at 350 degrees until the cheese melts and the crust is browned to the desired amount (about 12 minutes).
  • Cool before serving

Why Mami Superhero?

I wear so many hats: a mom, a wife, a student, an employee, a daughter, a sister, a friend, etc. It’s exhausting sometimes but I love my life, especially the mom part. Wearing all those titles is a lot which is why I feel moms are superheroes and even the greatest superhero gets tired or needs help sometimes.  This blog is meant to support other mom’s or parents by sharing stories, laughing mostly at myself, and easier ways to do this. I’m so glad you’re here on this journey with me.  Thanks,  Mami Superhero

Start New Goals With Your Back To School Routine

Goal setting doesn't have to be just for January 1.  A great time to set new goals is when you start a new routine, like when the kids return to school.  Why set goals :  Setting goals gives you something to achieve and look forward to. It helps to motivate you towards your future achievements.  It's easier to see goals when we visualize them .  Maybe you can visualize your goals by closing your eyes; if that doesn't work, try making a vision board .  How to make a vision board : You can take a poster board and put pictures of your dreams or goals, write words, cut words out of magazines, and put up quotes or scriptures to make your vision board a success.  Remember to set long-term and short-term goals. I struggled with fertility but knew someday I would be a mom.  For over ten years, I have had a picture of myself holding a sign that says, "A good mom." Initially, this helped me focus on doing whatever I could to be healthy and foll...
