My Favorite Recipes -Watermelon Juice

With all the pressure to eat healthy, it's challenging to have time to create healthy food and drink options.  One of my favorite healthy yet delicious drinks is Watermelon Juice or Watermelon Slushie, which you make depending on the amount of ice you add. My Mother-in-law taught me this; honestly, I could live on it if I didn't have to share it with my son.

3 Ingredients

  • Watermelon
  • Water/watermelon juice
  • Ice

Directions

  1. Cut a watermelon.
  2. Put some watermelon and juice from what dish of watermelon or use water depending on how much juice you have, and ice in a blender. Put to a slushy setting or something similar.
  3. Pour in a cup with a fun straw, and it's ready to serve. We like to use reusable metal straws to save on costs and help the environment.

*No sugar needed

*Add more ice if you want it slushier, which I recommend on a hot day.  You can even eat it with a spoon if you add more ice.

It depends on how many people I'm making it for, whether I make this in a blender or individually.  Either option is excellent and is an item my home uses frequently.

Why Mami Superhero?

I wear so many hats: a mom, a wife, a student, an employee, a daughter, a sister, a friend, etc. It’s exhausting sometimes but I love my life, especially the mom part. Wearing all those titles is a lot which is why I feel moms are superheroes and even the greatest superhero gets tired or needs help sometimes.  This blog is meant to support other mom’s or parents by sharing stories, laughing mostly at myself, and easier ways to do this. I’m so glad you’re here on this journey with me.  Thanks,  Mami Superhero

Start New Goals With Your Back To School Routine

Goal setting doesn't have to be just for January 1.  A great time to set new goals is when you start a new routine, like when the kids return to school.  Why set goals :  Setting goals gives you something to achieve and look forward to. It helps to motivate you towards your future achievements.  It's easier to see goals when we visualize them .  Maybe you can visualize your goals by closing your eyes; if that doesn't work, try making a vision board .  How to make a vision board : You can take a poster board and put pictures of your dreams or goals, write words, cut words out of magazines, and put up quotes or scriptures to make your vision board a success.  Remember to set long-term and short-term goals. I struggled with fertility but knew someday I would be a mom.  For over ten years, I have had a picture of myself holding a sign that says, "A good mom." Initially, this helped me focus on doing whatever I could to be healthy and foll...
