What College Students Actually Need for Class

What College Students Actually Need for Class

  1. A notebook - I like 3 subject ones so that you can use them for multiple classes, but the choice is yours.
  2. A Pen
  3. A pencil- depending on the class, you may need a number 2 pencil.
  4. A Highlighter- I prefer yellow because you can still easily copy what you have highlighted. The best highlighters I have found are erasable.  Yes, I said it: erasable, they are so cool that I had to buy some extra because my son took my first pack to school to show his friends. Check them out here: https://amzn.to/3XlXF6F
  5. Your textbook? – It depends on the class and how heavy the darn thing is if you need to carry it around.
  6. Your laptop or iPad – It's so nice to take notes during class or sit in the library on campus between classes and work on your homework.
  7. A backpack – I highly recommend you put the above items in something, preferably a backpack.
    • I found the best laptop organization bag perfect for teachers, substitutes, and college students.  It fits your laptop, notebooks, and textbooks.  It has space for your pens and pencils and two water bottles.  It's also so cute! Regardless of the reason you need a backpack, you need this backpack.  Check it out here: https://amzn.to/4cwZLEW

Why Mami Superhero?

I wear so many hats: a mom, a wife, a student, an employee, a daughter, a sister, a friend, etc. It’s exhausting sometimes but I love my life, especially the mom part. Wearing all those titles is a lot which is why I feel moms are superheroes and even the greatest superhero gets tired or needs help sometimes.  This blog is meant to support other mom’s or parents by sharing stories, laughing mostly at myself, and easier ways to do this. I’m so glad you’re here on this journey with me.  Thanks,  Mami Superhero

Start New Goals With Your Back To School Routine

Goal setting doesn't have to be just for January 1.  A great time to set new goals is when you start a new routine, like when the kids return to school.  Why set goals :  Setting goals gives you something to achieve and look forward to. It helps to motivate you towards your future achievements.  It's easier to see goals when we visualize them .  Maybe you can visualize your goals by closing your eyes; if that doesn't work, try making a vision board .  How to make a vision board : You can take a poster board and put pictures of your dreams or goals, write words, cut words out of magazines, and put up quotes or scriptures to make your vision board a success.  Remember to set long-term and short-term goals. I struggled with fertility but knew someday I would be a mom.  For over ten years, I have had a picture of myself holding a sign that says, "A good mom." Initially, this helped me focus on doing whatever I could to be healthy and foll...
